The Corinthian style of Kalimachus, the representative of Western architecture, started from the beautiful fruit that emerged from the death of a girl. His arbitrary perspective has created a style that represents the era. The functionalism, De stijl, and purism, "-isms" of the modern, which are the exact opposites of it, sparked the fire of arbitrariness once again. In this way, contemporary art has the possibility that the most personal thing could be the characteristic of era In this exhibition, we try to unfold these possibilities through the work of eight different artists. They clearly bring out their arbitrary choice from Mat Stam's Tonet Chair, made in the most inevitable form of the modern era.

서문서양 건축을 대표하는 칼리마코스의 코린트식 주두는 한 소녀의 죽음에서 발현한 아름다운 열매에서 시작됐다. 한 건축가의 자의적인 시각이 시대를 대표하는 하나의 양식을 만들어낸 것이다. 이것의 철저한 대척점에 있는 근대의 기능주의, 데스틸, 퓨리즘의 이즘(-ism)들은 다시 한 번 자의성의 불씨를 올렸다. 그렇게 동시대 미술은 가장 개인적인 것이 시대적인 것이 될 수 있는 가능성을 가지게 되는 것이다. 이번 전시에서는 이러한 가능성들을 서로 다른 여덟 명의 작가의 작업을 통해 펼쳐보려 한다. 작가들은 근대 시대의 가장 필연적인 형태로 만들어진 작품인 마트 스탐의 토넷 체어를 중심으로 각각의 자의적 선택들을 선명하게 꺼내 놓는다.
